Providing help, healing and hope to young girls, ages 11-17
There are some eighty young women ages 11-17 living as residents at the New Life Children’s Treatment Center, just below Canyon Lake dam. These girls were largely brought to New Life due to abuse and neglect in their families, which has manifested itself in behaviors too intense and disruptive for them to function safely at home or in foster homes. While at New Life, the girls benefit from a safe, structured, and positive environment where their emotional, medical, educational, and spiritual needs are met, with the help of seasoned professionals.
There are a wide range of volunteer opportunities available to Mystic Shores residents at New Life, each with varying degrees of time demands and contact with the girls. Some volunteers prefer to organize the donated goods or work in the butterfly garden. Others prefer to work directly with the girls, such as mentoring the girls’ academic efforts in the on-site Trinity Charter School or being a spiritual mentor. Regardless of what your volunteer preference might be, these girls need someone who is interested in their welfare.
These girls need you.
Won’t you consider what kind of contribution your church, your social group, or your circle of friends can offer to help these neighbors - these young girls at New Life?
